A rather nice, large (life size) plaster library bust of the Scottish Regency period poet & national hero of the day, Robbie (Robert) Burns, by Agostini, of the marvellously named Liquorpond St London. With many layers of later white paint, original circular socle. The back of the bust with makers name & address inscribed ‘Agostini, Liquorpond St London‘ . The street, once a hive for artists, no longer exists. Large period plaster busts in good condition are rare.
