Representing the trades & castes of India – a civil servant, a tailor & possibly a carpenter.
Beautifully modelled, examples of these figures, much in the spirit of Company School caste portraits on mica, offered a unique small work of art, easily transported.
Examples were sent to all the 19th century inter- colonial Exhibitions.
