A rare Tasmanian early Colonial period cedar chest of five drawers, of elegant vernacular form. The drawers cockbeaded & lined in Huon pine. The unusual turned tall feet, with triple reed tops & ball ends suggest the work of one a very small group of Irish cabinet makers, either free or convict
