A South German marquetry cabinet c 1740. In finely figured walnut, onto oak & poplar with a good old patina. The doors with contrasting panels and quadrants of dark walnut, the top with geometric marquetry. Mounted with blued steel carrying handles, and fine original lock, hinges & key. The brass escutcheons with engraved faces & remains of gilding. The interior with original decoration painted in cobalt of clouds.

A very elegant & virtually untouched George III period wine cooler, for storing cool whites on ice, with a bung hole to the base. Of tight oval form, the flat top with a good patina, handy as a wine table in itself. In wonderful heavy Cuban mahogany, with brass brass bindings & original ogee lug handles to the ends, on original tapering leg stand & trail casters.
A fine quality French Art Deco period writing table, mounted with bronze. The inset leathered top with gilt Greek key stamped border, the edges crossbanded in palisander, the large drawer to the front, sides & back veneered in amboyna & ebony allowing it to stand centred in a room. A rare pair of Argand lamps c 1815 in cast bronze of extraordinary form, in the Roman Revival taste as promoted by Thomas Hope. For burning whale or colza oil, they are in the form of Roman cruzie oil lamps, suported on triform bases, with lion paw feet & winged harpies, the sides of the burners with winged grotesque theatrical masks, the handles serpents. Good colour & condition. Reasonably attributed to the specialist bronze caster & lamp maker James DeVille of London (1777-1846). Ht 42cm x 39cm W x 19cm D.
A wonderfully plump Tasmanian Huon pine farmhouse bed, with exuberantly scrolled Thomas Hope back & generously turned Huon pine posts. Rich original finish & good colour. With new steel frame base making a modern English double 135 x 190cm x 122 High. This is the nicest example so far seen of this model. Tasmanian c 1840-1850.
A rare and really useful Tasmanian Colonial period Huon pine corner cabinet, in two parts. With finely moulded removeable pediment, the carcass in two sections. The huon door panels screwed on to prevent warping. The backboards single slabs of Kauri pine. Untouched original condition & metalware.

A fine & large fully rigged model of the Tasmanian four masted, iron hulled trading schooner, the Thelma D, named after the wife of the Hobart boat builder. A rare set of ten English Regency ‘Grecian’ dining chairs in best mahogany with saddle seats, sabre legs & original leather upholstery, with new slip covers.
