An exceptional example of an English George III period neo-classical tea caddy. Veneered with beautifully figured West Indian satinwood to five sides, the top with two shaded shells on green tinted grounds, the front a basket of flowers, the ends with oval fans, all within kingwood cross banded and sunflower edged borders. The original interior with three zinc lined caddies, similarly inlaid. Excellent original condition & colour. UK c 1790. Size 150mm x 270mm W x 140mm D
