An oriental ceramics rarity, a sensitively potted & glazed 18th century Korean stem cup, in the apple green copper spectrum, rather than more familiar celadon, the glaze surface & distribution akin to peach bloom ceramics – a memory of Song period monochromes of China, here of Korea. In isolation, Korean classical ceramics are a close memory of the beauty of ancient Chinese ceramics, their forms, colours and firings are their own. Small frits to rim, stand marks to base. Unrestored.
