A beautifully painted late 18th century oil on canvas portrait of Miss Eva Cartairs of Edinburgh c1790. Contained in an 18th century gilt pine frame, newly conserved. Label on stretcher dated 1925 attributing the work to George Romney (UK 1734 – 1815). The colouring, quality, size & warmth are very similar to documented works of Romney. 89cm x 69cm image size. 106cm x 85cm frame size.
