A fine English oak cased single manual harpsichord, identical to the model found at Knole in Kent of 1662, the earliest known English example.
The compass is 57 notes, with boxwood and ebony marquetry inlaid keys, gilt and penwork gesso name board and gilt brass sound frets. The case of the highest quality, made from research and measurement of the Knole cabinet work.
