A finely drawn ‘Grecian’ reeded framed, sabre legged sofa, of pure form, derived from ancient vase painting. The angled back over-scrolled, possibly for a picture gallery. The modern cushion fabric toile printed by Pierre Frey of Paris, from the copper roll, designed in 1808 at the Oberkampf manufactory, titled Monuments d’ Egypte. 86cm H 200cm W x 75cm D
