A fine quality Scottish Regency period mahogany dining chair, with palmettes carved to the top and quilled feathers to the uprights and faces of the sabre legs. The same design supplied by William Trotter (1772 – 1833) , the leading cabinet maker of Regency Edinburgh, for the Signet Library.
