A fine, large, English early Victorian period library bookcase, in mahogany, satinwood and ebony. Made in three large lateral sections, for ease of moving, with original shelves, supported on flat brass holders. The shelves deep enough for modern art books. With raised geometric panels to the front, inlaid in satinwood & ebony, with Adam revival classical pillars between, now faded to a warm honey colour. This format has the advantage of being strong for large books, whilst also low enough to hang art above. UK c 1860. 108cm high x 242cm wide x 53cm D.
