A very fine & rare example from the late – Moche – early Chimu period of a human portrait modelled blackware vessel, the spouted head for pouring. Joyfully modelled with the smiling head of a man, with a sun head dress. Chips to edges, discolouration to glaze unrestored & good structural condition. Ht 188mm x 124mm W x 67mm D. Interesting local provenance before 1967.
