An elegant & finely made Anglo Indian Regency period two part campaign chest, for a military officer on the move, or exotic travel. Of rectangular form, the two parts resting on lugs, with inset flush brass carrying handles, inlaid rosewood escutcheons, the drawers with dust liners between & fine dovetail joining. Supported on 19th century teak bracket feet, the semi – circular fretted brass ‘moustache’ type handles the rarest & most expensive form. Good colour & original finish.
