A beautifully painted, gilded & ‘japanned’ tin tray, of shaped oval form. The central oval finely painted in oils of an idyllic rural scene with figures beside an ancient bridge.  The convex border with rolled edge forming a strong handle, decorated with gilding on a red painted ground. A handsome quality English walnut stool, with quarter  crossbanded & face veneered skirt, onto a well patinated oak carcass. Supported on four beautifully carved legs, with carved harebells & clam shell to the knees, supported on  claw & ball feet – the pearl in the eagle’s claw.  Excellent original colour, marks, rough carved blocking to the frame & rich red brown old patina. Original drop in seat frame upholstered in coarse linen. Perfect for putting feet up on, or a tray of snacks. 47cm H x 57cm W x 47cm D

An elegant & finely made Anglo Indian Regency period two part campaign chest, for a military officer on the move, or exotic travel. Of rectangular form, the two parts resting on lugs, with inset flush brass carrying handles, inlaid rosewood escutcheons, the drawers with dust liners between & fine dovetail joining. Supported on 19th century teak bracket feet, the semi – circular fretted brass ‘moustache’ type handles the rarest & most expensive form. Good colour & original finish. An exciting example of an 18th century mahogany bureau bookcase c 1780. Beautifully proportioned & sporting the original acanthus enriched cast brass swan neck handles, the drawers fully lined in mahogany. With fine cavetto moulded pediment, over a pair of astragal glazed doors. The interior with mahogany grooves for the mahogany faced shelves, all with original pink wash interior. The bureau base with beautifully figured best Spanish mahogany fall, original four pinned brass lock & typically simple,  high quality fitted interior of drawers & ink / quill compartment. Over four graduated drawers -entirely of best mahogany. On the original bracket feet, the backs of the feet with laminated pine blocks & pink wash to the backings etc

A fine example of a London made, walnut cased Queen Anne period longcase clock, by Samuel Ogborn (active 1698 -1722), c1710.
Eight day, hour striking  with 5 finely turned  pillars, subsidiary seconds dial &  date aperature, 12″ square dial with crowned angel spandrels to the corners & finely matted dial. Original hands,  brass cased weights, iron bell & pendulum. Accurate to 3 minutes a week.
The original case veneered onto oak with quartered walnut veneers to the trunk & sides & lovely patina. The plinth not reduced & original hood. Quartered veneers to trunk & sides.
Newly cleaned, serviced & warranted for 2years.
