A magificent Cork Regency mahogany tray top sideboard from Lee Mount, Coolymurraghue, Cork c1815. The tray back with grooved recess for displaying silver, with a central carved laurel wreath. The top above four acanthus leaf topped buttresses, central drawer, with concealed drawer under, the right hand a cellarette, the left a cupboard. The whole with reel carved edges
A fine & rare English Regency period cast bronze inkstand in the of a Grecian sarcophagus, with winged masks to the frieze,oak & pine nut band, paw feet black Derbyshire slate base. With two acanthus leaf cast inkwells, the box for sealing wax with snake handle. From Weeks’ Museum, Tichborne St London. Signed to underside of lid. Ht 11cm x Wd 20cm.x 9cm.D. UK origin c1810.
A richly carved English Regency period armchair, mounted with brass rosettes and rope, with acanthus leaf midrail & reeded frame. Made of ebonized beech, now rubbed back over time revealing some of the timber & a patina of use. UK c 1810
A good quality & beautifully patinated English Regency period mahogany butler’s tray, with fold down hinged sides, allowing an oval serving table on folding stand, or carrying tray. The original stand can be raised or lowered by adjusting the webbing. The stand with old forged iron repair. UK c 1820. Ht 60cm x w 93cm x 70cm on stand. Tray 50cm x 76cm with sides raised.
A fine quality & elegant English Regency period bergere library reading chair, in best mahogany, with lovely untouched original polish, slightly faded colour & good patina. The frame with reeding to the arms, sides, rear, inner edges & back & good casters. The caneing to the back, seat and sides in excellent condition, with tufted green velvet cushion. Rare with the original forged iron and mahogany adjustable reading arm scriptor, which can be moved to either arm. The design was illustrated in Akermann’s Repository of the Arts, published 1810. Good examples of Regency bergere library chairs, in this state, such as this, are exceptionally rare. 98cm H x 60cm D x 60cm D. UK origin c 1815.
A rare, tall facetted glass candlestick, with wonderfully refractive stem, domed foot & original sconce. The lead glass with nice inclusions & bubbles, the design following silver shapes of the day. The base with pontil from the glass gaffer, minor frits to inner under edges. Ht 26cm. UK origin c1780
