A handsome pair of English Regency old Sheffield plate candlesticks with original candelabra attachments & sconces, by the foremost maker, the brilliant Birmingham industrialist, Matthew Boulton (1728 -1809).
Terrific original condition, with lightly ‘bled borders’, double sun marks
An exciting example of a English Regency period cast iron bootscraper, double cast.
Formed as a pair of winged Griffins, their tail feathers forming a lotus flower, with anthemion underneath.
Apparently unmarked, though with lots of old paint possibly hiding a makers name.

A Tasmanian Colonial period monkey tail scrolled arm cedar chaise. With curved banded end, supported on bulbous tapered and facetted legs the hallmark of Gillingtons of Dublin. An 1840s interpretation of Greek revival, via an Irish Colonial cabinet maker . Dry original finish, strong & unrestored though missing its casters.
