A finely made oval blackwood tray. With well turned column shaped supports and steam bent edge. Nice patina and mint condition. With pencil and chalk inscriptions under: ‘Designed and started 1916. Completed 1920’ With hours and days spent making in tally, plus maker ‘Geo Lord’.
A beautifully cast French first Empire period mantel clock in bronze, gilt bronze and verde-antique marble. The base with cast ornament of a Nile River God in a barge, the figure of Chronos backed with an obelisk with Egyptian heiroglyphs, symbolic of Napoleon’s exploration / battle of the Nile.

A superb quality Koftgari shield, of the finest late Mughal quality. Equal to examples in the V&A. The four metal knobs on the top anchor loops on the reverse which would have held the wrist straps. A small of wool fabric remains. 29cm diameter.
