A beautifully cast French first Empire period mantel clock in bronze, gilt bronze and verde-antique marble. The base with cast ornament of a Nile River God in a barge, the figure of Chronos backed with an obelisk with Egyptian heiroglyphs, symbolic of Napoleon’s exploration / battle of the Nile.

The gilding and patina in lovely old state.

Signed to the dial by the celebrated Andre – Antoine  Ravrio a Paris.
