A beautifully painted late 18th century oil on canvas portrait of Miss Eva Cartairs of Edinburgh c1790. Contained in an 18th century gilt pine frame, newly conserved. Label on stretcher dated 1925 attributing the work to George Romney (UK 1734 – 1815). The top with original black embossed leather, and folding timber gallery that fits in the drawer, and locates in the top via brass & steel pins. The two pedestals fitted to each pedestal with the original gilt brass handles, secured to the top via turnbuckles. The drawers lined in mahogany.
