A well made Tasmanian Colonial period cedar ‘Trafalgar’ type chair. The overscrolled back rail veneered with a fine cedar veneer, the midrail similar. With original drop in horse hair filled seat. The quality, detail of the front legs with circular eyelet & centurion skirt carving possibly from the workshop of William Hamilton of Elizabeth St, Hobart. Original finish & unrestored.
